Retold by Joyce Jacobo
[Author’s Note: A 50-word dribble based on a peculiar, reportedly true tale that I once learned about in passing].
“Please hurry, Mama is sick,” a red-cloaked child begs on the doctor’s doorstep, amid the snowfall.
The doctor rushes to save a feverish woman. He says her daughter is a hero.
Confused, the woman responds her daughter died that Spring.
The same red cloak hangs, completely dry, in her closet.
Ohh how sad..

I know, but it is also comforting to know her daughter was looking out for her. ^_^

A beautiful story Joyce. Sometimes things happen which have no logical explanation

Agreed. I think that’s one of the wondrous things about our world. We never know what’s going to happen next, and there are some mysteries we will probably never solve–and that’s just fine. ^_^

I know, right? You never know what’s going to happen, and it’s a testament there is still a lot about our world that we don’t understand. ^_^
