By Joyce Jacobo
[Author’s Note: The Butterfield Mail Trail used to run through my area, with its stagecoaches that ran between any number of stations to deliver mail and even people to various destinations. As such, a few stories related to them have popped up over the years, including that of a stagecoach once delayed by bandits who were less than merciful with its occupants. Now it’s said to make the trip every evening, only to disappear before it reaches the location where its next destination once stood.]
The Phantom Stagecoach
hurries towards the next station
never to arrive
Fabulous piece, Joyce. Perfectly creepy.๐

Thank you! Do you have any local stories along similar lines? ^_^ Such as ghostly vehicles or specters that operate in eternal loops, moving here and there?

Not that I know of. I actually am not enamored of this genre so my knowledge is very limited of the local lore.

That’s fair. I’m sure there are many other local stories that are not so spooky in nature, though, in both our areas.
