[Author’s Note: During the last few days, my countryside home has been blessed with rain and a few surprises. On the first day, I saw a pair of hawks lock talons and spiral downwards a bit, right before a rain and thunderstorm really got underway. What are some of the instances where you can remember being pleasantly surprised by something, such as witnessing a double rainbow (perhaps) or having an unfamiliar but friendly kitty come up to you for a cuddle?]

Wonderful piece, Joyce. Love it. My husband and I were chatting in our patio last week and just when we made a decision on something we were contemplating , two hawks flew right over our heads. They were spectacular.💕

Wow, that’s an incredible coincidence as well! They were like a sign of good luck, then. ^_^ And I also wish you the best of luck with decision you and your husband have made.

A pleasant surprise. I can imagine them through your words.

Thank you. Have you ever seen the courtship ritual of hawks, by the way? They spiral downwards with their talons locked, and then fly away. I’m still not sure if that’s what I saw, exactly, because it was so brief, but it looked like it could have been.

I haven’t seen that at all. It’s very interesting.

Oooh, I’d definitely recommend it. You should be able to find video of it somewhere such as YouTube. ^_^

Indeed, the exciting courtship ritual of hawks has been captured on documentary films.
