Tree Library (A Haiku)

By Joyce Jacobo

[Author’s Note: The other day, I learned of an 110-year-old cottonwood tree that had been converted into a miniature library by a librarian and bookbinder for her community. Now the community has another wonderful place to enjoy. Here is the article: https://littlefreelibrary.org/2019/01/librarian-transforms-110-year-old-tree-into-jaw-dropping-little-free-library/]

A small library

made to fill a sturdy tree—

  1. So awesome!
Whenever I see a sidewalk, private, small library I smile. I’d love to have one of my own some day. People who walk by could just stop by, pick any book they would like, share one they’ve already read, etc.
But this one is on a whole other level!
