When Otis and Elizabeth Chandler launched the Goodreads site in January 2007, they envisioned a place where visitors could share information about their favorite books, recommend reads to others, and simply have fun alongside fellow bibliophiles. Given the great success of Goodreads since then, with its widespread digital presence and reputation for highlighting literary works from established and emerging writers, the couple has clearly realized what they set out to do.
Visitors to Goodreads can look up reviews of countless titles from readers with an account on the site, and anyone who creates an account (for free) can organize a digital library of sorts cataloguing what they’ve read and make a reading list for future reference. It is a place filled with stories to discover.
